Baby D's first smile - Happy Birthday!

Today is Baby D's 1 month birthday, feels like he's been with us forever! Today is also the day he smiled his first real smile (not a gas induced one while he was sleeping like usual)!!

He is growing so fast..bigger by the day it seems. I'm so glad that I was able to capture this adorable milestone in person and on film. I love my lil'man!

Happy Birthday Bitches!

Today is Roxy's 4th birthday! Syla's birthday is also this month sometime (not sure when as we are not her first owners) so we celebrate them together. Syla is 2. They grow up so fast. ;)

Birthday girls. Syla on the left is 2, Roxy on the right is 4.
The gifts were new matching collars, a squeaky toy and some dog cookies.

Munchies Playing with the dogs (this is Syla, show LOVES anything that squeaks).

Birthday dog cookie time! (This is Roxy, she is food motivated  lol )

Showing off their mad skills. Roxy can 'sit', 'down', 'up up up' and 'shake'. Good dog! Syla has only mastered 'sit'.

Happy Birthday bitches!! <3

I am a mom

So I'm a mom; have been now for over 5 1/2 years. But I am recently a mom of a newborn again. it's a whole new world all over again and I have to say this as it is bugging me:
I am a Mom! I am not a dad! I am not a non-mom! I am not super mom! I am just a MOM!
Moms, no matter how many kids or years of experience, are emotional. We are stressed out about our babies. We worry for their safety and well being and we do not just assume 'everything will be fine'. We lose sleep and gain gray hair checking newborn breathing. We miss meals and forgo sleep for the needs of our babies. We don't get to shower or go to the restroom as often as we would like. We don't like to hear are babies cry. We get upset and even cry when our babies are upset and cry.  We over think, analys and fret over stuff that most likely is nothing. We read article that scare us (damn you babycenter.com!). We are often the mean ones that have to say 'no' to our babies.

I AM A MOM! This is how I am. I love my kids and until they can get in their own car and drive from their own home to their own job I will worry. Does this make me wrong? NO! It makes me a damn good mom! Do I over stress or worry too much? Probably. Perhaps I worry so much because some aren't worrying enough. Everything isn't always alright and I would like to be even a smidg prepared for that off chance. So I will continue to worry and stress. I will continue to get upset when my babies are hurt or upset and cry...even if it is just because 'babies cry, that's what they do'. I will continue to lose sleep for the well being of my kids, even if it's just to reinsert the binky at 3am.

I am a Mom. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Spring Picture Day!!

Today is Spring Picture Day at Munchies school. Nevermind that we just had Fall school pictures...o_O
So needless today we went last night to find a cute new spring look for her highness. We went with a nice bright yellow (luckily, she can wear all colors and look fabulous!) I stressed over her hair before school and I am convinced by the time they actually snap the pic, it will be a hot mess.

But nonetheless, she was looking pretty dang cute before school....can't wait to see the proofs and see what she looked like at the time of pictures!

Oh and she had been practicing her picture day smile all evening and several times this morning as well. She even did one last practice smile before getting out of the car for school today. Too stinking cute!

The Basics

I assume all of my blog 'followers' are real life friends; but on the off chance that I get any new followers that do not know my in's and out's, here they are in a nutshell.

My name is Honeye, pronounced Honey. Yes it is my real name and yes it is spelled wrong. I live in San Diego County with my super wonderful husband (who, from here on out, will be referred to as BDH which stands for Baby Daddy Husband) and my sassy 5 year old daughter Bella (who will be referred to as munchies, munchie, munch, munch bunch or any other variation) and our newest addition, our almost 3 week old son Donovan...who has yet to acquire a nick-name that has stuck.

We have two dogs, pugs. They are snorty and loud but kinda cute.

Before having my son a few weeks ago, I worked a full time job as a Workers' Compensation Claims Assistant. Did you ever see that movie office Space...? That is basically my workplace. ;) I actually like my job...most days. I do plan on going back to work after maternity leave as I miss my paycheck. Well actually, I dont' miss it so much as my credit card companies do. ;)

I love pop music, dance competition shows, and drama sitcoms such as Grey's Anatomy. Some of my hobbies include reading, sewing, cooking and scrapbooking...oh and sleeping ;)

I love chocolate, ice cream, chocolate ice cream, wine, cheese, Prince, Karaoke, Mommy Daddy Song on youtube, wine, The Twilight Series (the books, not so much the movies), Seafood, Tosh.0,  wine, designer purses, how my son snorts like Urkle when he cries, shoes, big SUV's, wine, Las Vegas, cruises, Wheel of Fortune, Starbucks, Michael Jackson, wine, Facebook, my Blackberry torch, my friends, family and wine.

Hmmm...that about sums it up. I don't have a special talent nor am I extremely good at anything. I'm just rather normal. LOL

So I started a blog...

Blogging is nothing new but I see more and more people doing them now so I figured why not jump on the band-wagon and start one too! =) It's not that I have a heck of a lot to say, but maybe someone will be interested in hearing it.
